Not only is Hull the UK's most affordable city, with one of the lowest rent rates in England and the cheapest pints in the country, but it is a very student-friendly city and has plenty for students to see and do. It was also named as the UK's City of Culture in 2017 and attracts students from all around the world.

A few events to mention are the annual Freedom Festival, Humber Street Sesh and Hull Fair, with concert venues, The Deep, art galleries, museums, cinemas, and shopping centres all around the area. It is easy to get around by foot, car, bus, cycle or taxi, and there is a train station located in the city centre. A direct train to London, Manchester and Liverpool takes under 3 hours, and York and Leeds are also only an hour away. The seaside at Bridlington or Scarborough can also be reached in around an hour.

There is a great nightlife for Students in Hull, with Asylum nightclub popular on Wednesday's which is located directly on the University campus, and Piper nightclub popular on Monday's, which is located down Newland Avenue, along with lots of other pubs/bars all within walking distance of our accommodation. There is Hull Marina and Princes Avenue which is home to many cafes, restaurants, and bars too.

There are more than 150 clubs, societies, and faith groups for students, and many jobs in the area for those looking for part-time work in between their studies. The University itself is located in beautiful surroundings and is well equipped with excellent facilities, including a large sports centre.

Overall, Hull is a great city for students and our accommodation is in the perfect location for it all.
